Fill in the chart yourself
Looking up an answer is one thing. Coming up with it yourself is what makes it stick. A blank multiplication chart, also called an empty or fill in chart, shows only the numbers along the top and the side. The rest is up to you.
You can use the blank chart on this page in two ways.
Online, with instant checking
Tap any empty square and type the answer. Get it right and the square turns green, then the chart jumps to the next one. Get it wrong and you can try again straight away. The bar next to the chart keeps track of how far you are. On a keyboard, the arrow keys move you around.
On paper
Press Print blank or download a PDF below. Each printed sheet has room for a name, which makes it a ready made worksheet for class or homework.
Ideas for teachers and parents
Time it. Filling in the full 12 by 12 chart in under ten minutes is a solid goal for 4th grade. Or go row by row and do only the tables of the week. For a gentler start, use a blank 1-10 chart.

Questions people ask
How does the blank chart check my answers?
As soon as you type the right number the square turns green and the next empty square is selected. A wrong answer flashes red and you can try again. Nothing is stored or sent anywhere.
Can I print a blank multiplication chart?
Yes. Press Print blank for an empty chart with a name line, or download one of the blank PDFs. The numbers along the top and the side are already filled in.
Can I get a blank chart in another size?
Pick a size above the chart, or type any number from 2 to 100 in the Other box. Then switch to Fill in or press Print blank.
